How is a person not able to pull their arm out of this? It looks like a very weak arm bar. But I will try it tonight.

the hand that is under the armpit has to be over the other arm (the grip)

@thlegendishere2009 But that's the thing. By knowing how to do this, a practitioner can also more adequately counter it. You don't necessarily learn things so that you can attempt them, but you learn some things so you know what your opponent can do.
