you really think george in on another speed level?

Im not trying to start a flame war or anything but Hate Eternals songs are in the same tempo range as Nile. I think derek has the most endurance of any DM drummer I have ever seen as well. I think George is at where derek was in hate eternal, but derek is so good at everything else too. Both awesome drummers that have inspired tons of drummers.

@ the discussion about george vs.derek: Both are great, just watch the video, get inspired and go play the drums instead of doing the vs. thing

@the guy who claims that this is boring and he can do it in his first year (macksf98): He's playing a Death metal song, blast beats is often used in that genre just like shuffles in blues. Like some songs are boring to me, this is boring to you but please don't claim you can play this in one year because that would be pretty impossibe. If not: prove it

Well it seems pretty obvious that Derek right now is not concentrating on death metal speed/endurance, so we can assume George has an edge now. However, if you look in Derek's drum book you will see he has a song that has a 280 section with audio. So at some point Derek was able to play in the same speed level as George, which was my original point.

@liquidknowledg4 hm george IS in another (-->higher) speed level. It is not that easy to differ between 260bpm and 280bpm, but exactly this is the difference between them. And every drummer knows that 20bpm difference shouldn´t be underestimated! ;)

@liquidknowledg4 IDk. George is faster than hate eternal derek but that was a while ago. George still says he thinks derek is the best all around death metal drummer. I think Derek has other worldly endurence but so does george. Since its not a competition it doesn't really matter as much as how well they play musically which I think derek has a slight edge in, especially since he is just a clinic/pro drummer all the time. George is still amazing.
