I knew the Tune right away, Lance, and can remember some words, "Jubilate, Amen" from over 50 years ago. I must look up the words by Thomas Moore sometime. He was an Irish Poet who also wrote "Oft in the Stilly Night." Many thanks for taking me back down "Memory Lane", Lance. Yours aye. Charlie in Aberdeen.

Very nice... thanks for posting. This song is sort of a rarity it seems. I havent heard it since I was in elementary school. It was not easy to find on google either.

I also found this in Best Loved Hymns; I didn't know anyone actually had that book. This tune is also used in the Methodist Hymnal under the name Vesper Hymn.

We played this in orchestra when I was 12, the class turned into a game to see who could play it as fast as possible. AH! Good times!

Thanks - yes Buffalo is my Hometown and my Mom attended that Church on Main Street and sang in the Tabernacle Choir. I hope all is well over the pond.
