Henry's Letter ~ The Time Traveler's Wife

I realise it may seem a little premature to be making videos while the film is still in the cinema, but I couldn't help but try to force a bit of the book's ending into the film. I know if I hadn't read the book I'd have no complaints about the ending, it certainly made me cry anyway, but I just feel that the way the book ends is so much sadder, and happier, and simply more powerful.

I should mention however that the extent to which the film did stick to the book is really quite impressive, I only moan because they left out/changed the 3, imo, best scenes from the book. Although perhaps it's as well they did, or I'd have made a real sobbing public spectacle of myself in the cinema. But then so would everyone else. Lol. XD

Anyway, yes, one thing I was disappointed they didn't include in the film was Henry's parting letter to Clare, so that is the focus of this video. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Though the ending of the film I favour over the very end of the book, the last meeting, I do agree about the letter having a very important part, and that is what finally broke me completely-I was a mess reading the letter....so thanks for making the video. They shouls have included the letter in the movie.

First off I'm a guy. Its about 4am here, I couldn't sleep much. Me and my girlfriend is going through a rough time. Sometimes I feel like giving up and leave. After watching this and the movie, it reminds me how much more I really love her.

@MrsMonaghan You are absolutely right ! You said everything I wanted to say. The letter was the most important part. I can still see the tears on the pages of my book. I was shocked and I wanted to kick everything when I saw how the movie finished :D Movies can't be as books, but the end was the most important part. I don't understand why it wasn't in the movie.

@BLUELUTRA He meets his mom when she's a grey haired old lady, or his wife, daughter? If it's his mom, I'm confused. I thought his mom died when he was a little kid? Time travel is so fascinating to me. I really want to get a time machine. There are so many things I want to go back and see.
