The Truth about New Years day.

It loooks innocent enough, but lets go into the history of New Years Day. Celebrating New Year was a Pagan custom associated with ancient Sun-Worship that was observed well over 2000yrs before the birth of Yahushuah (Jesus).

These new year festivities in Babylon eventually found their way to Greece, and from there they migrated to Rome where the celebration was called Saturnalia. The holiday was observed as a time of reveliing, drinking bouts, & orgies. Finally, these drunken celebrations led to human sacrifice. Sun worshipping the reason for the change of the New Year from Spring to the dead of winter.

The Romans went through several versions of calenders in which they inevitably changed the first day of the year to January first. Caesar also adopted Jan. 1st as the 1st day of the year. The Julian calendar became the basis for our current calendar.

New Year's Symbols
Celebrating the New Year is grounded in Paganism, Ungodly Behavior, & idol worship. The morden celebration of the New Year's Day carries on ancient traditions. The holiday itself is celebrated from New Year's Eve (old yr) continued on through the New Year's Day.

JANUS THE GOD OF BEGINNINGS & ENDINGS
Certain Roman traditions of the New Year have remained to this day. Among the man Roman gods was Janus. In Roman mythology, Janus (or Ianus) was the god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings & endings. Numa, 2nd king of Rome, in his regulation of the Roman calendar called the 1st month Januarius after Janus, at the time the highest divinity. Janus was usually depicted with 2 heads looking in opposite directions. According to a legend, he had receieved from the God of Saturn, in reward for the hospitality received, the gift to see both past & future. He was frequently used to symbolize change & transisition such as the progression of past to future.

NEW YEAR'S BABY
The New Year's baby is no less than a symbol of Dionysus, a Greek god of wine! It was in his honor that the Greeks held the festival of the wine-press in January. More than any other holiday. New Year's day holds the record for the most alcohol consumed on any one day! As sophisticated as we might think our society is in our mordern age, we are still worshiping the god of alcohol! The symbol of a baby for the New Year was common in pagan practice. The custom of the time was to parade a new born baby around in a basket. The baby was a symbol & a herald for fertility of the crops. The Catholic Church disallowed it for centuries. Eventually thess religious leaders gave in to those pressure, allowing infants to be used during celebrations that too place during this time of year, but with one adjustment.

The New Year's Baby was transformed into the baby of Bethlehem, a symobol of Christ.

FATHER TIME
Antoher symbol of the New Year's day is known as Father time. This white haired man carrying a scythe is a prominent figure at this time of year. He is playfully displayed with an hourglass or a clock & symbolizes the passing of life & time from 1 yr to the next. In reality, this quaint character is actually another Greek god known as Cronos. It is from his name that we got the word "chronograph", relationg to the measurement of time. Cronos came to be known as the Grim Reaper. Oringinal Cronos was thought to only reap little children in a mythical kind of cannibalism. Later this became as Greek rite of human sacriifice that was adopted by the early Romans who also sacrificed humans during the Saturnalia. Today, our mordern images of the Grim Reaper & Father Time STILL contains elements of their ancient past found in Cronos.

WHAT DOES THE SCRIPTURES HAVE TO SAY?
Exodus 20:1-3, There are many false gods involved with the observance of New Year's Day.

WHEN IS IT A NEW DAY OR NEW YEAR ACCORDING TO YAHWEH (GOD)?
The shocking truth is that we do not celebrate this day because it is the beginning of the New Year. This is evident in the simple fact that we celebrate the New Year in the Dead of Winter, at midnight.

Yahweh tells us that the beginning of the yr is to take place in the spring Exodus 12:1-2 . The Next Day according to the bible is not at midnight, in the Evening! Genesis 1:5

The day ends when the sun sets-in the evening, & the next day begins at this same time. Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am YAHWEH, and there is none else; I am YAHWEH, and there is none like me, 10) Declaring the End from the Beginning...

By observing midnight as the next day, mankind once again rejected Yahweh's authority. We have disregarded his designated time of sunset to mark the day's transition, & have instead chosen the middle of the night.

KEEP YAHWEH'S COMMANDMENTS
OBSERVE HIS HOLY DAYS, Revelation 14:12 Follow Yahushuah, he is the final word not Paul.

  • @MyPerry23 lol, I had a cold when I made this video. I really bad one, but I wanted people to know the truth.

  • "c'mon people!" geez lady, let peope thikn their own thoughts

... 'do your research!" yea... just wait til someone takes your advice and finds new meaning in the term "Easter"

  • @celtic5yamum Let people think their own thoughts?

Are you kidding me? The Majority of people don't think, they are like Sheep to the Slaughter, do whatever the first sheep in front of them does, or thinks what the sheep next to them thinks.

This video, opens eyes, it doesn't make anyone think my way. Most people will continue to observe Jan 1st as New Years Day, they would rather have fun than to worship God in Truth.

This you do not need to research

  • Y dos dis movie say 'yehowa,' or watever, and not God? R u jewish?

  • @Diana4281 Good question, YHWH or Yahweh is God's name. Out of respect for him, his name is not God.

Taking God's name in Vain, is making his name disappear. You don't even know his name, your breaking the 3rd Commandment.

  • You are beautiful! Shalom

  • @inbetweentics As much as I think the names of the Father and Son are important, it is also important to remember satan has done a job on our heavenly Fathers name and his beloved Sons Pro 30:4 also Jer 11:19 Jer 23:25-27, regardless of the name, a name will not save you, Doing the Fathers WILL is of the most importance, Obeying his Laws, just as Yehshua showed us, our Fathers Laws are PERFECT converting the soul and making the simple wise! so dont get caught up in the name game. Blessings

  • Which god is Yahweh? he is the god of Israel and claimed to be nothing else. he never states he is the Creator. Just food for thought while we think upon Saturn.

  • @Diana4281 of course it is your choice to believe and follow whatever path you desire, but to follow the wrong path would be at one's peril. please look into yahusha and his ways, not the ways you have been accustomed to believing or what you may think is right but what is told by us that there is only one name (not many), only one name under heaven by which we can be saved. his name is yahusha and we must follow in his ways, not our own, if we want eternal life. :)

  • @inbetweentics I dont believe in them but i do respect them. Like all gods they should be respected. Videos like this try to make it seem like a bad thing that these gods existed and still do exist. You dont have to believe in them but at least respect them

  • @Diana4281 if you take the time to watch the videos i've linked to you, you will find out what is wrong with ancient gods and how there is only one name under heaven by which we can be saved and it isn't found in any pagan names. please take the time to watch those videos i've shared w/you and reject the egyptian and greek gods. your eternal destiny is at stake. invest in your eternal future by yahusha.

  • @inbetweentics I just have one thing to ask: What's wrong with ancient gods? Ancient egyptians and greeks were amazing and they have great beliefs and awesome gods

  • @Diana4281 in conjunction w/these videos, there are a few really good videos out there that help with the true name of our messiah and also discarding the name christian as it is pagan.

    please check out:

    watch?v=dVfWuJgHXbg (our heavenly father's name)

watch?v=Ne4V7uC6O-M&feature=related (the name of the messiah/son)

    watch?v=rJNLkgzpe4g (christian is pagan)

  • @morningsun29 i love your videos. truly. they have taught me a lot. many of these things i already had much info but you put a lot more detail in it. i recently got a msg back about certain pagan aspects that believers share re messiah. i was told "love is the key" and he wouldn't put any "unnecessary burdens on us" in doing many of these things, but i say that since he said we must follow him in spirit and TRUTH, we need to discard man made traditions that aren't of him.

  • @Hobbster7 Post verse 15. Why do people not put the whole up instead they just cut out what they want to be truth when in fact it isn't because the context is not complete when something is left out.
