Saturday 29th January 2005. This was recorded at Wave Aid at the SCG (for those playing at home, Wave Aid was a benefit concert for victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami in December 2004).
THANKS to siahurlher for providing the info!

  • Where was this recorded?

  • @MuzzikLvr

I'm unsure, as I've heard conflicting reports.

  • You gotta love Kiwis. Austrailia's junior in so many ways -- the Pomi's standing joke is to pick up a piece of discarded paper stock and say it represents one-third of the export income of New Zealand -- they have rugged exteriors and the ability to build by hand what most of us have forgotten on the way. I think of Kiwis when I listen to Neil Young's Zuma, as the Mexican culture has been reduced to a shabled replica of its past. Not New Zealand, hardy as ever. This is a great video. Thanks S.

  • These guys closed an awesome concert at the SCG. Go Kiwi, made me feel like I was home amd they raised the crowd like no other

  • I was in the front few rows of this set and it was one of those magical gig experiences where the crowd is as one and you know you're in the midst of greatness.

It was an incredible day and the Finn brothers were amongst the very best it had to offer.

Exact date- Saturday 29th January 2005. This was recorded at Wave Aid at the SCG (for those playing at home, Wave Aid was a benefit concert for victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami in December 2004). Crowded House performed the song at their farewell concert in 1996. One of my favourite live covers of all time. Thanks for posting this babyhowdy233 :)

  • 2 legends the finn brothers plus at start of video quick glimse of another aussie legend jimmy barnes.Brilliant cover of hunters and collectors song.

  • BTW, Babyhowdy, if you're going to do the brothers theme, what about those two incredible Indianopolis musicans who wrote the remarkable music for "Bandwagon?" At least, I think they did. Trying to find a copy of this movie or any of its songs, e.g. "It Couldn't Be Ann," has proved difficult. This is the kind of thing where you rise to the occasion. Go for it!
