abpfing04: Because not everyone is a huge fan of David Cook, and we don't know everything about his personal life. I'm actually a much bigger fan of David Archuleta, but I still enjoy Cook's music and respect him. I didn't realize the mistake at the time, and I was a bit...out of it from the initial shock of the news.

Of course its heartbreaking when someone so close passes away, but he was suffering. Sadly he lost his battle, but hes not suffering anymore and is finally at peace.

@MrNeobeo If you mean David Cook, yes, he still makes music. His first post-Idol CD went Platinum with 2 platinum singles and a gold one. It's just called David Cook - you should check it out; it's amazing! He has a new single of his new album coming out April 19th and the album itself should be out in May. His cover of "Don't You Forget About Me" is the elimination song on Amer. Idol right now (gets played when the eliminated contestant's "journey" video is played. The song's on ITunes. :)
