@CitroenC407 man its all true what uve said!and the fact is that these days mtv and american live band shows helped the bands a lot to expand(multimedia was still an unspoked word these days)their audiences but connells never made it out.call it a sudden flare in the sky,call it circumstances(the burst of grudge and new rock)the connells are great musicians with good songs.

I know these guys were a US based band, but believe it or not I bought this album (on the strength of 74 75) in IRELAND back in the day. On cassette no less. Still have that cassette too. Ring was an absolutely brilliant album, loved every song on it. It's a shame that this band never really made it outside of the US (74 75 aside) when so many others made it big without writing music as good as this.
Loved the album, have all their albums now too (thanks EBay and Amazon), these guys are CLASS.

@CitroenC407 I know exactly what you mean, I'm actually from Greater Manchester myself and also got into the Connells on the strength of "74-75" (although it was on CD lol) and loved them ever since.

One of the greatest songs EVER WRITTEN!! I saw The Connells at Trinity College in the mid-nineties. Just fantastic!

Great song, loved it for years. RING is a very underrrated album. Until now the only option on youtube for this song was the video made with the Civil War theme by Twangler23. Thanks for the upload.
