I figured I'd get back on the "pipes." I know quite a few people subscribed to my channel over a year ago just for my organ clips so I figured I'd post more.

The words and midi file can be found here:
http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/g/f/gfathers.htm

(sidenote: I know what kind of organ I'm playing. I don't need people writing me and commenting that it's not really a pipe organ.)

Location: St. John's AME Church, Norfolk, VA
Organ: Allen Renaissance
computer: Macbook Pro
Recording software: Logic Pro 8
audio interface: Apogee Duet
Mics: 2 random condenser mics at the church
video software: iMovie HD

  • Fred Mason, this is awesome! I miss this kind of stuff, growing up in the AME church. Its very admirable for someone your age to have an interest in songs with meaning.

  • @dayounglevite

That's what my boy always says. I grew up Seventh-day Adventist....still am and I grew up on these kinds of hymns as well. My dad plays the pipe organ. So this is what I know.
