I still laugh when I hear "Big-I". One interchange in the entire state and it's not that big, but New Mexicans make a fuss over it for some reason.

@natedogg6256 yah it is, its fun to haul ass down the ramp from I10 east to US54 North

New Mexicans always seem impressed with their "Big I" for some reason. Of course, it's one of only two interchanges in the entire state. "The Big I" is nothing more than a typical interchange in SoCal.

That was not an impressive exchange.... The Spaghetti Bowl in El Paso is so much better....

The "Big I" sure looks impressive.

Originally it had left exits and was designed to handle the amount of traffic it could handle back when it was first built in the 1960s. In 1998, the Big-I couldn't handle the amount of traffic it handled that year, and that is why from 2000-2002, the interchange was redesigned and rebuilt.
