opposite edges un-oriented: (R U R' U') M' (U R U' r')

Adjacent edges un-oriented: M' U M U2 M' U M

All edges un-oriented: M U (R U R' U') M2 (U R U' r')

  • good. you do gain some time with recognition, but you loose at execution, because the algs are a little longer. So I think it pretty much evens out. Post the algs into vid description... you can submit this to my 2look OLL vid, I think people could find it useful! Of course... then we will both get 2 million questions from people asking which technique is better... i can already hear the sounds... of the crowd... aaah!

  • wow!

    its you!

    im honored!

    flambeezled if you will.

    hahaha

I think your right about the evening out thing.

but i do think that it might have the possibility of being a little bit faster even with all the slice moves. Especially if you have a really loose cube.

M moves can be performed extremely fast because eric akkersdijk used the m2 algorithms for his U permutations instead of the regular RU ones

  • y not just use full oll

  • because some people dont like learning algorithms.

this is also a great stepping stone to full oll

  • what cube is that and with what stickers/tiles?

  • its a regular rubiks brand that has been worked in for a while.

its the third cube i got.

and those are cubesmith textured tiles

  • do post it into the vid description as well if you can... If people want to refresh their memory on one of the algs, this way they dont have to hunt for it in the middle of the video, but can just quickly check the vid description. Probably much easier.

and yes, they can be quite quick too. I find the opposite edge switcher quite fast in particular at least.

    cheers!

  • is compound oll faster than 2-look oll ;??

  • I love compound OLL, but I just can't seem to get fast at slice moves. Do you have any tips for slice moves/fingertricks? The M', U, M, U2, M', U, M algorithm is the one I'm really struggling on. I do okay with the other two.

Of course I like the 1-Look/2-Alg idea of this, but if I was stuck doing a 2-Look OLL still I would use these algorithms because I hate F, R, U, R', U', F' and it's lowercase f version.

  • @Joshndthatdude The alg is R B R' F R B' R' F'

(or F' L' B L F L' B' L)... Just search "garron cube" on google and find that guy's cube site with compound oll info under the tab "cubing".

  • Outstanding! These are very rare tutorials teaching compound OLL. There should be more...

Anyway, how much seconds can one average while using this? Any ideas anyone?

  • thank you

  • Hey, I was wondering, what's the algorithm you used the the chamelian, instead of

    r U R U' L' U R U'

was it a reversed one, cause you held it differently than I do when I do that algorithm, I hold it the opposite way.

Please get back to me if possible, I run into that case in the way you had it much more often then the way I do.

  • I invented that algorithm btw. lololk

  • wait so only this for OLL?

  • And these algs are not waste of time, since they are for 3 OLL cases.
