Repost. Guess who put the wrong date in the opening credits...........
OK, after that visit to Flanders to see the Toys for Tots train on the Morristown and Erie I drove up to Hillsdale NJ to see BonesCentralRR and chealy349 in the Bergen County Model Railroad Club's open house. It's located on the second floor of the Hillsdale New Jersey Transit Station. Plenty of three rail O Gage trains were running and the plexiglass around the layout had candy canes hooked on it for the kids to take.
As some of the engines had smoke generators some of the candy canes were smoked :p
There was a variety of equipment run on they layout including chealy's CPRail engines. Bones was kind enough to tell me when those Lackawanna covered wagons were going to be run. There was also a steam powered New York Central passenger train along with a freight train that had a New York Central engine on the point. Later that day a Conrail widecab unit was was added on that train. The PRR GG1 was fun too. It did break down latter in the day so it was replaced with a D&H steam engine.
All in all a good day plus being by the NJT tracks gave us some time to see some commuter trains go by.
Great video Bob! Glad you enjoyed the show and those Lackawana F3s! Loved the combination of videos and stills! Hope you enjoyed our smoked candy canes lol!

Great video, Bob! loved seeing my train going around.....and around...and around. Great pictures at the end too!

@chealy349 Thanks. I have a joke annotation saying the smoke coming out of the lead unit is making smoked candy canes. Oh, I had more pics but they didn't turn out that well. The flash was set up for bounce.....and the ceiling is high!

Great video. The Hillsdale station was the headquarters for NJ&NY RR until it was taken over by the Erie in 1896. BTW, I love those GG1s. Those babies once chugged the Northeast Corridor until being replaced by the AEM-7s.

@YankeePat94 Thanks. The GG1 doesn't like curves so after a while it developed some type of wheel problem.
