This is Pete from The Crystalline Effect & Shiv-r.
Working on a TCE remix for exclusive release on a compilation by Advoxya Records. This video is about the "swooshes" or "cymbal crashes" over the top of the track, and creating them with the Alesis Andromeda A6. The original song has been released on the album "Identity" released at the start of 2009 and the remix will be featured on the "PABS 3" compilation due for release in late 2009.
Both releases available at www.advoxya-records.com.

  • What do you use for those fantastic sounds (pad and that synth with cutoff automations) from 2:40 to 3:00 ?

  • Hi! The pad is from the FM8 softsynth. It's the "Bladewalker" preset with the attack of the volume envelope turned to 0 and LOTS of overdrive (I love how the FM8 overdrives pads).

The synth with the cutoff is the Andromeda A6 :)

    About 2000 UK pounds

  • Pete, what did you use to get that thick thumping and driving kick and defined crashes,hh? what did you utilize for the vocals ? mastering? Thanks for any info,I am into Dance,Trance,House and any tips will help me polish up my tracks and will be much appreciated,I feel your track ,great job.

  • danja nate hils uses this andromeda for his production and some other midi stuff too

  • @djsos202 there really hard to come buy for some reason, Alesis has slowed down the manufacturing of them... there at least £2000

  • Good job, who is the singer?

  • im Gettin That Keyboard! How Much Was It?

  • Im not the biggest fan of dance music. I usually don't like songs with a 4 on the floor drum pattern. But this beat was the hardest electric beat I've heard in a damn good while. Usually electric music is detached from sounding like a real song. But you nailed it son. Respect.

  • thank u
