Blowing Hole Cave is located in southern Indiana near Corydon. Two major discoveries have been made in this cave in the last 6 months. An upper level river passage was discovered late last year when a group of cavers pushing the furthest upstream point pushed through a breakdown area and emerged from under a waterfall into a large room. Approximately 1 mile of upper river passage has been surveyed thus far and is still going. Two weeks ago another upper level borehole passage was discovered when Nick Benton pushed up through a tight spot at the top of elevator dome. This lead resulted in 600 more feet of survey with lots of formations. 10 Cavers; 10 Hour Trip.
Pretty sweet formations. Seems like a lot are still active/lots of water... wonder how much traffic that cave sees...
