@ickleian This was my first full Talk Talk album i've listened to. Man, I was very disappointed when I heard their previous albums. No, just joking. Great band, but I prefer their last two albums. Enjoy their music!

This album took 3 or 4 listens to hook you.Bad news for record company but great that they paid for the album of the back of their popular hits and left us with a gem!

Bizarre groep, begonnen als synth-pop groepje van niemandal, en dan: album na album steeds beter geworden. Met als absolute hoogtepunten de laatste twee platen: Spirit of Eden en Laughing Stock. Absolute meesterwerken zijn dat. En dan, op hun hoogtepunt, zijn ze gestopt, om te janken!!! TT, my all time favorite!! En met het verstrijken van de jaren... wordt het gemis aan nieuw werk van TT alleen maar groter....

I was already a big Talk Talk fan when this album came out and when I bought it I was very disappointed. However, it grew on me and soon became one of my favourite albums of all time. It still is to this day. Thank you for taking the trouble to post this.

Major props have to go to Tim Friese-Greene, co writer, producer, and keyboardist for helping to develop this sound. Absolutely Visionary.
