The story line:
LIANG Yushu,son of minister LIANG Rulong,met the adopted sister XIE Yunxia of his schoolmate on a spring-outing.He fell in love with her at the first sight and also moved by her personality.His schoolmate bacame a matchmaker and helpt LIANG engaged with XIE.Unexpectly XIE overheard that LIANG's father was the murder of her parents,who used to be a high official and had some conflicts with him.She felt agitated,pretended to marry LIANG actually in order to take a chance to revenge.
XIE was indifferent and cold to her husband, which made LIANG confused.Anyway he loved XIE very much and very considerate about her.In mid-autumn festival the couple got together in the moon,LIANG tried to interrogate his wife out of the truth, but XIE never told a word.She went back to her boudoir and talked to herself in a low mood.LIANG followed and overheard the truth outside the door.He was shocked,detested about his father's ferociousness and decided to clear up a false charge for her family. XIE was very greatful and they become reconciled.
A few days later LIANG made his way to Peking for imperial exams and won the first.His father suggested him to marry another girl of a rich family on one hand and on the other he asked LIANG's step mother to kill XIE in secret.XIE's servantgirl helpt her escape at night.
LIANG heard the news and worried much about his wife so much that he fell out with his family. Finally he found his wife taking refugeat at his schoolmate's and along they eloped to another place.
