This dialogue was held on March 6, 2011 with speakers Thabiti Anyabwile and Bassam Zawadi. It took place in Knowledge Village Auditorium in Dubai, UAE and was sponsored by GDS Knowledge Consultants and The Christian Fellowship Club of University of Wollongong in Dubai.

Bassam does not back up his conversation with either surah or Ayat from ALLAH subhanahu wa talla book or from hadith, it is more like the Thabiti argumentative style more like selling emotion but not straight, clear answers that Bassam can use from Quran. What more powerful words than the words of ALLAH to clear a point instead of going around and around and example here and there that does not have a word from Quran.

It is just a point of view.

Thabiti says "IT is impossible to present (follow) GOD with our own perfection" (31:09), he basically says WE cannot be perfect, so "we" need Christ. Yet, what does Jesus say? He said "Be PERFECT LIKE the Father" (Matt 5:24).

Christianity teaches GOD gets "offended" and "hurt" by SIN while the GOD of Islam is powerful and EXPECTS (not wants) Humans to SIN (because he created them that way) so He could exercise his Mercy and FORGIVEN them without injustice (atonement, killing a guiltless man). The Bible says "Do not shed innocent" (Jere 7:6), so how could GOD shed innocent blood? When a person SINS he dies spiritually, when he REPENTS he becomes back to LIFE (spiritually). That is Islam, not lawless "Christianity"

GOD (knowingly) made Humans sinful so He could exercise His mercy and forgive them. IF humans don't sin GOD would replace them with another Species and they'd sin and He would forgive them. "Christianity" STRIPS this Divine Right from GOD (forgiveness). Christianity is TELLING God what to do, saying GOD needs blood but GOD doesn't need blood (or anything). Christianity contradicts the Bible and vice versa! The Hadith says GOD will forgive sins even if those SINS amount to the SIZE of earth

Mercy and Forgiveness replaced Blood and Sacrifice long BEFORE Christianity came (Hosea 6:6, Prov. 16:6, Isa. 1:11, Micah 6:7-9) so Thabiti is WRONG to say Sacrifice runs "consistently" throughout the Bible. The Lamb sacrifices of the Torah were temporary, not eternal. Also, the Bible condemns HUMAN sacrifice, which is "Christianity". The story of Abraham symbolizes the END of human sacrifice with LAMB sacrifice, Isaac replaced with a lamb, no mention of Atonement. Similarly, Jesus was replaced

The Bible depicts GOD as inconsistent, Ps. 5:5 says GOD hates sinners but according to John 3:16 God loves the sinners. We have a GOD who HATES (Ps. 5:5) and a GOD who "loves" (John 3:16). The "cross" is NOT love. IT is heavenly child abuse and John 3:16 sugarcoats what is bloody (pagan) human sacrifice, ritual murder by Jews. They did not believe Jesus died for their sins, the doctrine of Atonement was INVENTED to give "meaning" to the cross and "validate" the bloody murder of Jesus (by God)
