"The Reason Why We Dance" - video from Dance for Peace in South Africa

Dance for Peace is a non-for-profit (503c3 tax exempt) dance organization that fosters life skills programs through urban dance workshops to youth in post-conflict countries.

Working together and learning about dance, the students improve their self-esteem, learn to solve problems and share in each others creativity regardless of their differences.

The young dancers on this video are just few of many who feel that dance is a catalyst for their voices and opinions to be heard in their communities. They feel dance is a influential outlet to evoke social change while empowering themselves in the process.
