@lax6384 What's left is still standing, but probably not for long. Ernie wanted to save it, turn it into a museum of some sort. Now that Ernie's gone, his dream of saving it may be, too. Sad.....

This absolutely breaks my heart to see this. Tiger Stadium was a link to Baseball's past and it recalled fond memories of my youth. It hurts that it is gone. I hope they can maintain what is left of it. I pray that they will.

I choose both.

Oh well then I choose Tiger Stadium

I am from Detroit originally, I now live in the Chicago area. The Tigers are still my team. I love both Wrigley Field and Tiger Stadium. I did not and would not undermine one over the other.

maybe you're not a tiger fan so you dont get it. tiger stadium was as sentimental value to us as any old school ballpark...

Why?

fuck that, if it happened to tiger stadium, it should happen to wrigley
Are they going to demolish anymore of the stadium or is what's left the deal they made with the Tiger Stadium conservancy group?

Right now what's left standing will supposedly be up until the spring. What you see is essentially the 1912 configuration when the ballpark first opened. If they raise enough money by spring 2009 then it will keep standing.
