Ravel is not Rachmaninov! Too loud and too heavy most of the time- look into the score - most of the dynamic range is PP-MP

if you are also a performer of this particular ravel as i assume then you should be aware of the stress of performing it, in such a situation i regard any performer who makes few note mistakes with the utmost merit

nothing to do with performer.. a piece this demanding should be played on a very delicate responsive piano to reach it's desired tonal quality the performance was virtually flawless
