The introduction to a series of four videos about Evolution, and how evolutionary mathematics not only explains how evolution itself works, but also can explain animal behaviour, altruism and even why morality exists. Although about mathematics, the videos are NOT difficult to follow for those not mathematically inclined.....

  • Evolution is very easy to understand. Evolution is a fact. The word evolution has been stolen by Darwinists. The theory of evolution which should be called The theory of Darwinism is based on faith that species will change over millions of years. Random mutations and natural selection are not enough to drive this change. There is another factor in macro evolution that Darwin theory doesn't know about. Darwins theory is not the complete deal.

  • There are soooo many truths to evolution...but science has screwed some things up...but religion is very clear cut...i.e. belief in Heaven and all the rest of it, is soooo ridiculous...check out Wildman Walker's blog and read my book...it's free...

  • @CliffStamp Thanks

  • @HowieInTheUK Indeed, the first thing they have to do is independently calculate the probability of God and show that it is at a minimum of the same order (or greater) than the probabilities they calculate (incorrectly) for mutation combinations where they always leave out any selection process on the cumulation.

  • @McAnkkuli For example, imagine you are in a restaurant and you notice someone sitting next to you who just happened to also have your exact same name and age.

Now consider that would happen without design, it would be very low. Do you thus conclude that this restaurant is designed for people of your name and age? No, because the probability of that is also extremely low.

  • @McAnkkuli They are attempting a bayesian inference, specifically if you see someone get a very unlikely string of hands at cards you can infer he is cheating as it is more likely he will get those hands if he cheats. They attempt to use the same inference by saying that it is more likely that you will get these results (eye, immune system, etc.) if there is a designer. However there is a critical flaw as HowieInTheUK noted exactly.

  • @HowieInTheUK Oh, that was from my favorites. I don't really upload, I just sometimes do playlists. My 'Documentaries and everything' playlist for example is about atheism and evolution, and Dawkins for some reason.

  • What I find most amusing about ID arguments on "improbability" is that they introduce a concept (an intelligent designer) that makes their explanation of reality orders of magnitude more improbable than the improbable situation that they complained about.

BTW... I saw your channel.. the Lawrence Krauss talk that you've posted is bloody brilliant... I had the great pleasure of attending that very AAI event to see Krauss' talk in person.. a truly fond memory..

  • @HowieInTheUK Aah, I don't know anything about this area, I just wondered what the IDs mean when they say evolution is mathematically improbable.

  • @McAnkkuli Well, it's usually because they don't want to accept Evolution because it's conclusions undermine their own pre-conceived opinion of the world - most often a creationist opinion. In David Berlinski's case he's just happy to collect the money he gets from the Discovery Institute for playing the cynic.

And perhaps you could just be misreading some statement on the subject; for example John Von Neumann said complex life could seem highly improbable if it WASN'T FOR Evolution.
