I am working on a sonic 2 hack, called 'the real sonic 2 alpha'. I have finally mastered ASM editing, and therefore removed the spindash, which makes it more like an early prototype. It is different to the nick arcade alpha, and it is more like a 'remake' than a hoax. kinda like sonic 2 delta. However, Unlike sonic 2 delta, rather than making it as playable as possible, I'm trying to make it as much as what we thought the alpha was going to be as possible. Had the nick arcade alpha not been released, people may have thought this was a real prototype (once it is finished). I plan to do things like put GHZ clouds in EHZ, and give hidden palace a cavern background.
Note: This is EXTREMELY EARLY in process, so not only is there no point uploading it yet, but also there are not yet any real changes, so no comments like 'this hick is so primitive' even if it is.
Did sonic 2 prototype has some leftover of the Chiki Chiki Boys ?

@tomsoftmedia Not when the Sonic 2 Staff were working on it, there is leftover data from that game in the Sonic 2 Beta Rom, but that is because it used to be sold by pirates (Not the Arrrgh! Type) in some countries who copied the Sonic 2 Beta Rom file onto carts originally made for other games. In this case, the original game was Chiki Chiki Boys.

Q1 where did u get a split for the sonic 2 early prototype? Q2 which early prototype is it?

I hacked the split Disassembly by Esrael Neto for the Sonic 2 Beta released by Simon Wai, which is the first Sonic 2 beta the internet was able to play. I got it from sonic retro. You will find it if you go to the sonic retro wiki and type "disassemblies".
