@doodoo675 But in that aspect, considering how these old sets make almost half of the fleet, its would be 1000 times worse than melbourne

@MrChowTheTroll this was 2010, as some people thought the S Sets will be withdrawn, but didn't due to ongoing problems with the test train, also known as the A Set Waratah.

@doodoo675 wish that happened earlier, but its a lot better to hold the waratah back for a while, rather than to introduce it, then the S sets and whatever get destroyed, and then the waratah have a problem.... its would be bad for cityrail......

@MrChowTheTroll much like when the Victorian Government and Connex pulled out most of the Siemens Nexas trains out of service due to brake problems and was forced to reintroduce the Hitachi Trains back into service due to rollingstock shortages, but with a modest 6 6-Car Trains left, they have to buy back one from steamrail and buy the others off private owners just for parts.
If CityRail did that, it would be another Connex Melbourne scenario.
