Bless my mother who would have celebrated her 87th birthday today...She used to do her version of this commercial on her own recliner! She was such a joy!

Back when York Peppermint Patties came in the loose foil coverings, about 1 in every 3 that I opened had maggots if I looked closely enough. In fact, I figured out that if you ever saw any sign of "shaved chocolate" in the wrapper, that was actually the debris from the maggot burrowing. It was very common to find them once I started looking, and since they were my mom's favorite candy, I saw them often.
