hi, i am doing an expierament in school and i need to know step my step what i need and how to make it however, it cant be a video. can you tell me how and what i need to do to create the nitrogen dioxide by steps?

@TheNeilNeil Nitrogen Dioxide is actually used in some cases as a protein indicator. If you happen to get some on your fingers, it will indicate the protein present by turning them a yellow-ish brown color. Unfortunately, it doesn't wash off. It wears off, with your dead skin cells. You'll just have to wait until your skin cells shed.

N2O is laughing gas and that is the harmless stuff as long as you dont use so much to kill yourself

Question! if you were to put the copper metal into the nitric acid at the temperature your freezer was, could it evolve N2O4 instead of 2NO2

um yeah posably, but NO2 would be made from the N2O4 beacues the reaction would heat up and the N2O4 would decompose.
