Ní fheicimid a leithéid arís ann. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dhílis....♥ (We won't see his likes again. May he rest in peace)

Letter I recd. from a You Tube friend in Australia ......

Dear Mike,

"I couldn't say what I wanted to say in the comments to the clip of Michael Dunne, but hey, its there in the clip for the YouTube world to see ... a lovely unassuming friendly man with troubles with both his sight and his hearing and with a hard (no doubt) past on the road, but with lots of wonderful memories ... and he IS the music. A player. I just love that clip, for me it says it all ... beautiful. Thanks so much for putting it up. (... and one day perhaps you could translate what you had to say from the Gaelic ... I would love to know) ."

  • What a lovely ol' fella - I couldn't quite catch what he was saying but I could listen to him all day and forget about the fiddle. 'its not me best though' oh the Irish humour kills me!!

Thanks to Mike for another gem.

  • Sheila, The particular words he used were "it's not me best hornpipe, but it's the handiest one I could think of." ~~ Mike ♪♫
