Ernest Hemingway lived in Key West from 1928 to 1939. This exhibit has personal family album photos of Ernest and his friends . . . fishing, camping and carousing at Fort Jefferson. Read his original fishing logs and pick up one of "Sloppy Joe" Russell's fishing rods - all at the Custom House Museum in Key West.
First, please, God, loose the bubbly Doris Day narration. And stop telling people that they can go out on the Pilar when everybody knows it's been docked back at the house in Cuba since 1959. For chrissakes, this represents everything that's wrong with Key West. If you have to have tourism to survive, has a little class, OK?
