He believes that baptism is required for salvation (as stated at 1:55-2:20) and some scriptures show Jesus to be the Father. He was recorded and questioned because some people claimed he didn't believe baptism was required for salvation. He has failed to include his view about baptism being required for salvation in his church statement of faith. After letting other people know about his doctrine and the recordings, he went on to threaten my brother for talking to people about his doctrine. He didn't specify what the threats consisted of.

Proof that baptism is not required for salvation can be reviewed at:

and

and

Proof that supports the claim that Jesus is not His own Father can be seen at:

  • Prior to the recording of this conversation, I had spoken with several people from Mike's church each from different families who claimed he did not consider baptism to be necessary for salvation. As we learn throughout scripture, God is more disappointed in false religious leaders who look righteous on the outside, but are not really following Him, than he is with those in open rebellion to Him. Mike is a dangerous man because he is a false religious leader who brings another gospel.

  • Mike asks what is the purpose of baptism?

If God commands something to be done, one should do it. One doesn't need to ask, why should I? (See CARM links in description) Mike Perrotta still will NOT deny that he believes that water baptism is necessary for salvation. Why doesn't his statement of faith say WATER BAPTISM IS REQUIRED TO BE SAVED? Then, Christians could have a heads up on this heresy.

  • Mike Perrotta comments and comments, but he wont deny one of the main claims of this video; Mike Perrotta still will NOT deny that water Baptism is a requirement to be saved. For his churchgoers in doubt; doubt no more. Beware, dont ask if he believes if baptism saves a person, he will likely say NO to that. The heresy is that Mike Perrota believes Water Baptism is required to be saved. Its a game of semantics.

  • I do have one question for you guys, and then I have to stop this stuff and move on. You have a lot to say about what baptism isn't, but can you tell me what the purpose of water baptism is and give me at least 2 verses to support your answer? Thanks

  • Do you think it's possible that Paul was saying He did not come to perform baptisms, but just to preach the Gospel (which includes baptism)Since Jesus, Peter, and Paul commanded people to get baptized, it must be part of the message. If you disagree with me on that, so be it. God bless you.

  • Which one of Gods commands is an option?

  • According to the Bible, water baptism is not part of the Gospel. Paul said (For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel) -1 Corinthians 1:17. See also 1 Corinthians 15 where he laid out the Gospel, water baptism is NOT part of it. Note again that Mike Perrotta is still NOT denying that he believes water baptism is a requirement for salvation.

  • To believe in the Gospel is to believe the truth about Baptism. Thats why we state that those who believe in the Gospel are saved. The Gospel is the whole message, not just a Faith Only message.

  • anyone can go to our website and see where we stand on the issues, or come to the church and pick up a copy of an in depth copy of our statements which is available every week with our handouts. I will never be ashamed of preaching the truth.

  • Please, note both in this video and in his comments here on this page, Mike Perrotta did NOT deny that he believes the heresy that water baptism is required for salvation. Mike Perrottas statement of faith from his website as of September 15, 2008 states Salvation We believe salvation comes to those who hear, and believe the message of the gospel. However, Mike Perotta has clearly stated in the above video and on other occasions that he thinks baptism is required for salvation.
