The Stanford Autonomous Helicopter performing a maneuver known as "Chaos".

In this maneuver, the helicopter flips over in place repeatedly while simultaneously pirouetting about its vertical axis.

This video demonstrates the computer's ability to perform this maneuver indefinitely.

  • yep, this is a piro flip, not a full Choas

  • wow

the guy who taught it chaos must really suck :D

  • No it really does it. It learns by watching a human do it, then it can repeat the move, while correcting for physical randomness using sensors. Very cool, but this is a piro-filp, not a chaos.

  • Well that's more chaotic than Alan Szabo's chaos maneuvers, lol. Very impressive, you guys in Stanford just keep building great stuff all the time.

  • Fake?

  • now thats chaos but really cool

    awsome
