Sleep was the legendary stoner metal band from California that has spawned so many followers and imitators. They were legends in their own right and no album seemed to define their majesty more than Sleep's Holy Mountain. Also of importance is their opus Dopesmoker which would ultimately be their last album before calling it quits. Matt went on to form High on Fire while Chris and Al eventually formed stoner doom band Om.
