Islam doesnt except tatoos BUT he did this before he was a proper muslim. As long as he regrets it or doesnt get more then it is fine. Look at Mike Tyson and all his tattoos but now he is a strict muslim yet he knows what he did was wrong and that is more important then anything. Islam means to have a certain mind set and looks bare less importance.
