This happened while my wife and I were on a walking safari in South Africa. We went SA for our honeymoon and one of the places we stayed was Ulusaba in the Sabi Sand Reserve. We only went on two walking safaris during the 5 days we spent there, the others were on a jeep, and this is what happened on our first one. Although the charges were just warnings we were very worried for our safety.
During the video, you will notice that I turn the camera to the right for a little. I do this cause there we two girafes and three warthogs about 50 meters from us but they are not visible in the video.
"Trunk up is signal for last charge"? Eh? Nah, he was just warning the group, which was a perfectly safe distance from him. At no stage did he ever show any intention to charge seriously, as evidenced by his ears wide open stance as he trumpeted.

Yes the ears show great intent also, but the drunk plays is very important. When held up it is usually a mock charge, but when tucked underneath its chest it means trouble :)
