THIS IS IN THE 80's (OPEN YOUR EYES!)NOT NOW!!!

The eye came directly over my house. Absolutly incredible. One minute the wind and rain was fill-tilt, then the sky cleared 100%.
10 minutes later the clouds rolled back in and the wind picked back up. We lived 50 miles inland and when the eye passed, all you could smell was the ocean. Amazing!

Yeah I remember this storm. I was working at the Pathmark Super Center in North Bergen NJ. A day before this hurricane hit our area you think the end of the world was coming. People came in and brought anything they could get their hands on. It was crazy. We couldn't keep up with the volume. I remember 20 check out open and line up the aisles. After the storm was over Long Island got hit the worse. We just got the rain. The store did over a million in sales over a three day period. Just crazy!!!

I was 7 living in Norfolk, Virginia when Gloria happened. We got a lot of wind, rain, and lightning, but thankfully no significant damage for the neighborhood I lived in.

I live on the coast of NJ and I remember when this hurricane passed. the winds picked up dramatically from the west and I watched large tree limbs come down all over my neighborhood. Quite a memory!!

Why did you use a video camera? Was your TV adapter on your computer not working?
Anyways, thinks for the video. I miss the old Weather Channel.

Another question that I wan't to ask about is: what's up with that home video footage at the end? Was it a drive-by servey of the storm damage from Hurricane "Gloria"?
