  • I'm glad to know that there are people around still remembering such a great man. Unfortunatelly almost unknown in his homeland...

  • Congratulations on making that trip! What language is that narration in, anyway? You can see some old newsreel footage of GKC in the online archive of British Pathe newsreels.

  • Thank you for comment and informations about archive.

    Background voice is in Polish.

    Regards.

  • @CyrusI Yes he was quite a great man

  • O, grób Chestertona!

  • Wow, that's amazing you are a relative of GK. I hope you appreciate how many people this wonderful man affected. It was the power of his intellect and perception that words were penned. My father and my grand father read him and quoted him. He will never go out of style becuase he was above style all together.

  • Push through, Atreus. Everlasting Man has to be one of the towering works of all time. It might also help if you can get your hands on Virgil's Aeneid. Having read that will give you more insight into some of what Chesterton talks about when he discusses Rome: the pinnacle of human achievement.

  • Orthodoxy is absolutely enlightening. I wish The Everlasting Man was as easy to read.

  • Also be sure to read James V. Schall, particularly his Another Sort of Learning. Schall has much to say about Chesterton.

  • Definitely read his book, Orthodoxy.

  • What an intellectual person Chesterton is! A true gift from God
