King squirrel and his subjects

I saw this squirrel eating corn from a feeder with other squirrels and birds below. And this caption came to mind. How a king will be above his subjects.

I had a grumpy grandpa squirrel that would sit on his corn cob perch, take bites of the dry cob and spit it at the other squirrels that dared come near him. :)

That squirrel definitely knows how to act as a ruler. Sitting imperiously over one's subjects, distributing the essentials of life based on your own fickle whims, ensuring that all of the commoners must inevitably appease you in order to survive...Ah, good times.

(Part 1)

King, "Mwah ha ha. I rule you fools". He ate fat and happily.

Birds & squirrels from below chanted, "Plz your majesty. Bless us with your gifts of corn kernels."

The King continued to eat as if he heard nothing.

"Mr. Nutz sir", they cried. "Plz we're hungry."

The King bellowed, "Are ya kiddin' me. Do ya know these are hard economic times now!"

"Yes sir", they answered. A child squirrel spoke alone, "Plz your majesty. My family is starvin'."

The king thought for a moment. Then gave into his greed. “Alright”, he grunted.

Sir Nutz threw down a shower of corn kernels for all.

The little squirrel gave a warm smile with true joy and thanked the king.

The king grunted and went back to eating in peace. But he ate with a grin on his face. Feeling not only a full belly but also the gift of giving in his heart.
