Between the years of 1996 and 98, Boss produced about 20,000 of these Xtortion pedals. It has a very hard edged sound that is a bit different from other Boss distortion pedals. Here, I am demonstrating a few of the various sounds that this pedal can produce. I'm using my Dillion Strat into my Vox Valvetronix.

  • How Many Guitars do you have? And what are they?

  • @Mrrhockstar My Dillion Strat and Les Paul are my two main guitars. I also have a Yamaha acoustic that was once my mom's, and a few other knock-off strat copies.

  • How about not recording the strings louder than the electric signal?

  • dude you should check out the boss mega distortion md-2. i got it looking for a good metal sound but discovered this pedal is great for all kinds of music. you just have to know how to tweak it. mega distortion doesn't mean high-gain face melting like the metal-zone, to me it means great all around.
