My comment is pretty simple. Before being able to reduce the debt, you have to be in a position to generate positive revenue. Health care reform, whether it be a public plan or not will help in that cause. Its step 1 to being 'fiscally responsible' for future benefit. About the Canada comment. Canadians can afford universal health care because taxes are up to 49% in some provinces. Some states have really low taxes, so its not an option unless you up the taxes.

Did you know there are about 10 to 20 million illegal aliens in America? They are pumping out children like baby factories. There are 33 million citizens in Canada. So there about about as many ILLEGAL ALIENS with their children as there are citizens in Canada. They all, along with America's OBESE (one out of four Americans) WILLl be sucking off the government titty - MILK RAN DRY !!! $11.7 trillion in USA debt. How many BILLIONS do we spend just to pay interest on China loans?
