well from what i heard, they told him to make some changes, such as defensive coordinator since the defense sucks, and he refused. not sure why he refused but i think that is ultimately what got him fired. i dont really understand it either though. i highly doubt they will find another coach as good as shanahan

It was 14 years not 13. We will miss you Mike, i kinda hope that whatever team he goes to coach for wins the superbowl...how awesome would that be..im a huge denver fan but that was a stupid mistake by the owner.

I TOLD YOU GUYS Albert haynesworth WASN'T GOING TO PLAY A FULL SEASON. A lot of you doubted me. You guys thought he was going to go full season without missing a game.I hate to say I told you so but..........I TOLD YOU SO!! I hope shanahan isn't a disappointment. Theres a chance he might be. Hopefully he gets along with the GM and they work as a team. And HOPEFULLY Dan Synder GETS THE HELL OUT OF MAKING THE DECISIONS. Cause if he doesn't, then WE HAVE NO SHOT AT WINNING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

ya he was, and that was what i hated the most about him. He wasn't tough on the players he was so nice and that doesn't work in the NFL. You need to be tough and call out your players from time to time if they're not doing their assignment. Hopefully shanahan will do that. I just hate it when the redskins fans start thinking superbowl or being NFC east champs everytime we get a new acquisition. It happened with Jason taylor and it happened with albert haynesworth.BTW how many games did he miss.

hey,im with you you on this one and again he did get fired,but some of the redskins fans are so easy to talk these day,but jim zorn was one of those coachs that did get in your face,it was more babying the players like he was doing jason campbell.

to all the redskins fans(i'm one too). BE CAREFUL.!!! don't start expecting superbowl. I remember those comments made early last season. I was called all types of names when I told them that the redskins were going to be an avg team.I was wrong. They were WORSE. So redskins nation. BE CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC!!!!!. dont expect too much next season. Expect another avg season. New coach can't turn it around that fast. I hope I'm wrong, but don't count on it.Remember , he got FIRED from his last job

Yeah. It was a huge gamble on their part. However, I think Mike might be better off here in D.C for a few reasons. Mainly because he can start off fresh with a new franchise.

dont say he sucked dick for broncos, I'm a skins fan as well and I cant wait to see what happens next season, he did an amazing job  for broncos
