I did like this game a lot, but I think they were a little inconsistent with their target audience. A lot of the dialogue has a simpler speech pattern, there are puzzles that are targeted towards and older audience. This doesn't stop it from being a great game with fantastic music, and probably the best custsenes and voice acting for the DS, with an interesting and unexpected story-line as well. However, i preferred the sequel since it worked out a few of the kinks.

Ugh, I hate 1up reviews. This is the first one I seen, and good lord. It's so boring. Do what everybody else does and write out your script. This is just plain annoying.

@happyzombiegoasts123 Yeah, but think of WHY they're robots. They're there to protect Flora, Reinholds daughter, who owns the village. They're there to make sure nobody comes in and takes the treasure who isn't worthy enough.

i dunno, maybe coz i'm used to pheonix wright, which has pretty damn complicated stories and cases, i dunno professor layton is kinda.... weak? i mean i love this game, but that robot thing.... oh jesus, i was sooooooo dissapointed

These aren't kids puzzles. They're riddles that me, a high-schooler, has trouble solving at times.

this is the best game in history... it combines great art, music, and finally strangly addicting puzzles that will have you thinking for hours! i'm so glad i bought this game... i cant stop drawing Professor Layton and humming his theme song...

No offense SoaringNimbus but I bet you couldn't solve a puzzle, got all pissed, gave up on the game, and stuck to a sports game like the simpleton you probably are.
