it Does look awesome. but such tech could be better applied to research(!mindmap) or game/world-building work. i can't imagine this actually being Handy(read:quick) as a file explorer.

key navig would make it much faster but even then, searching for a file looks even more hell than it is now..find size? date? lotsafiles with same/similar name? only view certain format? how's it view files? even just pic? and this 1 is a bonus but will ask anyway--zip behaviour?

btw what is 'cloak' and 'shield'?

@BabyLioness I agree 100%. Awesome concept, but one of the most impractical things I've every used. No idea what cloak or shield does...probably hides and password protects the file/dir.

If it is too choppy decrease you're object culling in performance

when you get used to the navigation reduce the tightness in the control section and it will be faster & smoother
