Modern Warfare 2: What Would Bryan Do? Episode 6

As I mention in the video, I did have this same discussion with a co-worker a little while back. When it comes to a topic like this, many people consider it a quick any easy solution, but when you apply logic and look at the bigger picture, it is not as easy as you may think it was. Every action has consequences and can set up a chain of follow up events, that if you are shortsighted you may not consider. I think that is something we have seen time and time again throughout history. As the saying goes, "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it".

Yes, lets shoot a nuclear missile from the United States over the Pacific Ocean, through China, into A-Stan. Or maybe across the Atlantic Ocean through the EU, Saudi Arabia, into Pakistan, a few hundred miles from China, a few hundred from India, directly next to Pakistan, all nations with nuclear weapons. Whats the worse that could happen? Fortunately, M.A.D. is pretty well recognized by people. The only people without something to lose, as you said, were the terrorists.

@MisterDyslexo You could do it a from a nuclear submarine right off the coast in the Persian Gulf, not that the location of the launch makes it any better of an idea. I can understand how some people would just say nuke them, it sounds so simple, but the smarter people like us can see the bigger picture.

@BryanR73 but in actuality it was more of a revenge mission on japan for pearl harbor, as well as a military applications test of the atomic bomb. not only does the bomb explode, but it damages the very environment in the region as well for a long period of time. america wanted japan to go down and stay down and its message was sent with the atomic bombs.

@BryanR73 Even after the bombs were dropped, the Japanese military still did not want to surrender. They planned and attempted a coup to stop them from signing the Potsdam declaration.
