  • @malanga13 Yeah most of the engines on you tube are just built by hobbyists with no real practical use. However there is a company developing them for use in power generation using heat from the sun. Last I heard they actually held the record for the most efficient conversion of solar energy into electrical. Better than any photovoltaic.

  • stirling hot air engine. large engines has commercial applications. this is a hobby

  • what I don't understand is, what is this type of engine and what it is used for? I mean they are really beautiful and the detail and craftmanship is excellent, is it just like a hobby or am I missing something here? Today is the first day I see them here on youtube.
