Sek. Ren. Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Pai Chai is a small school with 126 students. It is located along the tourist belt of Batu Feringgi, not far from the resort hotels. It is sitting on a piece of prime land donated by Dato' Robert Chuan. The land is about 41,000 sq feet and according to Dato' Robert Chuan, market value is between RM100-RM150 per sq foot. Therefore, the land costs about RM4m.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was invited to the ground breaking ceremony for the new building of SRJK (C) Pai Chai. The Penang State Government allocated RM100,000 to the school. The school needs RM3.5million for the new building.
