  • This song was recorded in Charlotte, NC at Arthur Smith Studio's in 1960. The name Sandy Scott was used by Tommy Faile because Smith and Faile wanted the song to be played on Top 40 stations. The guitar is very obviously Arthur Smith. The background singers were The Schulers. Tommy Faile was a member of Arthur Smith and The Cracker Jacks TV show from, 1949 till the early 60's. "Shake It Up" was a great record.
