This video is to discuss what I mean by the "intimidation factor" of your chosen concealed carry weapon being a factor is a successful defense.

  • Is that a superman ring

  • @jna466 Yes

  • I see your point, but much more indimitading than the weapon is the competent way it is presented, the seriousnes, intent, and confidence you project. The predators of society recogonize a serious person and most would rather deal with a sheeple. More than once this has saved me from having to take someones life.

  • @CCW1911 Maybe, but I personally would not care if they were wearing clown shoes, a garbage bag dress, and held the gun with their pinky out. If they pointed a gun at me I am out of there.

  • You pull a gun to shoot, not to measure dicks.

  • @jjmrotc You pull a gun to defend yourself. If you are puling it to shoot you are a dick.

  • @GUNNY50BMG I hope you realize that is you pull a gun and the person reacts by stepping back or putting his hands up and you still shoot and a single witness sees that you will be in jail for a very long time.

  • whoa. never thought of or read anything on this. i think you're right on the money.

  • Excellent video. Makes me think. Thank you for the info.

  • @tubevideoguy762 A friend of mine is a policeman and he has drawn his pistol on criminals many times. He says that intimidation is real and that everyone, except one madman, became somewhat stunned for maybe half a minute or so when they realised that they had a real gun pointed at them. Most people are not gun people and something that might be mistaken for a cell phone, a wallet or a toy might not have the same psychological effect as a gun that looks more like a 'real' gun.

  • @tubevideoguy762 It is not nonsense. If you compare it to knives a pointy and shiny blade will intimidate most people a lot more than a dull grey or black blade that you might not even see or instinctively recognise as a knife. All people have a subconscious idea of what knives, guns and other dangerous objects look like and to most people this idea comes from TV and movies. A gun that looks like a gun is more intimidating than something that looks like a small plastic toy.

  • i would run like hell

  • revolver! lol

  • BTW Yankee, I strongly support your position of getting "out of there". Getting into a gun fight is stupid if you don't have too. Good advice.

  • I tend to agree. Officer safety training always has an element of vocal intimidation for a reason. All confrontations are psychological at their core. Regardless of your sex, in a conflict always be the Alpha Male.

  • BTW Great vid And I remember some of what you said that I learned when I took my CCW course

One Sec. to make Life or Death decision's not to mention What the conciquences of even letting your gun be seen

  • How can you "being your best to seem tough & mean" when you have Marvin the Martian sitting rite next to you? lol. ( Actually the Harley DragBike as my Profile pic was named The Marvin Machine )

114 cuin Top Gas National #4 1996 to 1998 With a Pic of Marvin on the rear fender.

Back in that time I was the 2nd to hit the Record of 150MPH in the 1/4 mi. Drag strip ADRA
