  • Hey THere, Thanks for the video BUT just in case do you have a video or STEPS showing how you change the LONG Brake Line that is going from the Master Cylinder thru the car FLOOR to the rear of the car?

That will help me a little... I don't know if I need to bend everything first or at least the curves in the master cylinder y continue to the back....

  • @PCSOLVER1 You know, I know I did it, but don't remember there being anything special about it. Think it just runs in the floor, inside the seat, next to the tunnel, right under the back seat, then out through a hole to the back. Like I said, nothing special, as I recall..

  • Thankyou! I have to do the same job on my 1965 now I know what to do!

  • @ersatzersatztube Sweet. Good for you. I tried to find some info on it before I did mine, and couldn't so I thought this might be helpful to someone. Glad it is.

  • she goes down a hill testing the breaks lol

  • Thanks - looks like the brake line front to back - which way did you remove / install the new line

  • Awesome, the 2 questions I had were; 1. how to run it to the back and 2. what part was used at the back to go to both sides. Questions answered, thank you very much. I bought someone elses project and there were alot of missing parts.

  • Peek check the Exhaust gaskets on each end of the Heads.. sounds like she has leak or a rotted pipe? - Had 15 in the past.. Just checkin to be sure she's save.. don't want any exhaust fumes in the Car with the windows closed...

  • There's just somethin' about those old beetles that brings a smile to yer face. If you've ever owned one you know what I mean. :-)

  • Good job Richard!
