The 42nd Annual Kinetic Grand Championship's moment of high suspense came later on Day One as the racers faced the depth-defying heights of Deadman's Drop in the Manila Dunes. Watch the line of Kinetic Sculptures clamber through the sands and take the leap!

In this clip, several sculptures take the plunge as the pace heats up, including the Slug, Yeti Andretti, Private Eyes, Whirled Peas and Bubblicious.
