@jacobdakrn I'm pretty sure it's David Zinman's 1991 recording, with Dawn Upshaw on solo soprano. It's one of the best selling classical music recordings of all time.

I think it's what Jane Stadler at WMNR 98.3FM1 CT Operations sited as "Gorecki: Symphony # 3 from an Elektra Nonesuch CD, # 979282." It sounds like the version they played on their station last Friday at the 3:00 hour.

Thank you so much for posting this. I absolutely love the "Rec 3," pardon the pun. I don't think a more moving piece of music has ever been written. It brings me to tears every time. Have you by any chance heard the recording on the Naxos label?
