Man has always attempted to make sense of the world around him. The bible was an early attempt of man to record and make sense of what he observed in nature. Because man's knowledge was incredibly limited the "god did it" was employed at great measures. However mankind has advanced beyond the stone observations of the bible and the "god did it" method is no longer required nor employed. Therefore the bible is about as relevant to science as it is to political science.

@BboyRobbo707 Faith is the purposeful suspension of critical thinking, logic and reason. Science is based on evidence. Religion is based soley on faith. The fact that religion is dictated by the random chance occurance on what geographical area one is born into gives the insight that it is simply mythology. To proclaim that a religion is absolutely factual or true is a huge misconception. Religion is absolutely not based on science, it is based on faith. you are baldy mistaken.

The cross section of throat is actually a brilliant design. It's making perfect and efficient use of your organs. Such as your ability to control the food in your mouth and properly start the digestive process coupled with your ability to make complex speech. You couldn't have as complex speech without your teeth and your tongue. Also your saliva glands perfectly oil this entire region, important for both functions. The throat and mouth are in perfect harmony, its called efficiency.

Also.... people used to believe that the earth was flat, the centre of the universe, and that it was the sun that revolved around the earth.

If creationism should be taught in school as a valid 'theory' or 'fact', we should also teach these archaic ideas.

Science is always willing to change its position based on new information and new findings. Science welcomes and encourages people to challenge earlier ideas and to try to disprove them with new evidence and new theories.

Religion, on the other hand, is the opposite. The longer something has been 'known' the less it can be questioned. Religion says, this is what people thought 2000+ years ago, and we can never question its validity....
