Curis Mayfield and the impressions sang a way better version of this song, nothing against Jerry Butler he has a great voice but the song doesn't fit him.

Jerry, Curtis and Major came from the same housing project in Chicago. All 3 versions by each is a classic in itself. Even Carlo Santana did this song. I love them all....

Nah, I disagree with you all. As much as like the Ice Man, I think Major Lance's version of this has them all beat.

I like this version! It's real nice! But Curtis Mayfield's version is better! This is growing on me though.
